Fort Hill Bike Path Description

The Fort Hill Bike Path trail sits on the north side of Peterson Road/ County Road 20. The trail peels away from the Prairie Crossing Bike Path at Midlothian Road and extends west, passing industries and farmlands, before ending just east of Behm Homestead Park. The trail is a hard-surface, 8-foot wide path that is accessible to a range of users. It offers almost 5-miles of travel out-and-back and users can extend their trip even further by continuing on the Prairie Crossing Bike Path, which in turn connects to the 30-mile Millennium Trail. Lake County boasts over 550 miles of trails and bike paths.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available at Behm Homestead Park on the west end of the trail. The park is located at 22222 W Peterson Rd, Grayslake, IL.
