Arkansas River Trail

Beautiful Trail used by 100’s of people daily!

May, 2022 by rdgzgnv5w8

Such an awe inspiring ride alongside the Arkansas River and through the river market area of downtown Little Rock. Basically flat with the steepest inclines found accessing the river bridge crossings. Bike repair stations, restrooms and even outdoor gyms spaced along trail at appropriate intervals. It IS alongside one of our countries major rivers so occasional flooding does occur on the North side of the trail at some points that are within feet of the river. The trail is well maintained and the only negative is where Dillards corporation refuses to allow the trail to cross their property. They are the only corp holdouts and unfortunately this means that a short portion of the 17 mile loop occurs on streets adding some unnecessary danger to the otherwise fantastic trail!

TWO THUMBS UP, LITTLE ROCK!

April, 2022 by thejake91739

Visiting from Southern California, I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this trail, but I have to say it exceeded whatever preconceived modest expectations I had!

We started at the Big Dam Bridge parking lot and proceeded to ride over the bridge and back. It was awesome! Even if we didn't ride anywhere else that afternoon, that experience and the spectacular views made the trip to Arkansas River Trail worth it!

But we didn't stop there. We then rode upriver to another pedestrian bridge, Two Rivers Park Bridge, and crossed it to explore the heavily wooded and picturesque trails. What a pleasure that ride was!

Since we wanted to stay out of urban areas, we only experienced a small portion of the trail. It seemed extremely popular and was being heavily used on a beautiful weekday afternoon, and I must add that these two out of state senior citizens felt comfortable and safe at all times on this magnificent trail system.

Two thumbs up, Little Rock! With the heavy use of this trail it's obvious the residents of your city know what a gem of a trail they have. For those of you wondering whether it's worth the drive to Little Rock, Heck Yeah!

Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail

what a beautiful trail

April, 2022 by garyandlorrie412

It’s short and that is the only negative about this trail. I rode my wife’s beach cruiser and we loved it. As fun a ride as we have had from Virginia to Florida to Louisiana to Texas. Next up Little Rock.

Nice Greenway Trail, Decent surface, Well Marked

March, 2022 by stvatandem

Started from Horsebarn Trailhead and headed south. Trail was pretty easy to follow and signs were at all junctions where one had multiple choices. It was a bit hilly in spots though. We rode as far as Springdale (Phat Tire Bikes) due to the headwinds that day (03/22). Surface is in very good condition. The trail crosses some roads, but also "goes under" many of them, especially the busy ones. Definitely a gem.

Dogwood Springs Walking Trail

This trail has a beautiful stretch that winds along Sager Creek lots of benches to sit and enjoy views of the creek. Great place for dogs and the dog park area is really nice.

Lawrence County Rail-Trail

nice paved trail

December, 2021 by poecat10

I love that it’s off the main roads and highway. The path that starts at the college is nice but it does get secluded with over hanging trees and the debris is on the ground so it makes for a not so smooth ride for a short distance. Before you hit the main highway you have to cross to get to the other side you will cross a wooden bridge. It’s seems dilapidated but for now it’s usable hopefully someone will fix this. Then you will now cross the main highway and it can be dangerous so wait till you can safely cross Wait on truck drivers they will not slow down It’s a nice ride after that You can park your car in several spots At William Baptist college Or in Hoxie Several spots to stop and get something to eat Even Casey’s gas station has air you have to buy it

Razorback Regional Greenway

Trail is being destroyed

December, 2021 by mistermysto

There is so much new road and building construction along RRG that the trail has become hazardous to travel. Multiple areas where the trail is torn out, sometimes with dead end, sometimes with routing bike traffic into the street along with vehicle, truck traffic.
This includes all areas north of Fayetteville (Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville and Bella Vista).
Safe riding has been reduced to only 10 miles at south end of the RRG trail.

Great Ride

Did this trail today from Bella Vista Lake to Rogers (Bass Pro). Beautiful day! Great trails - loves it. It’s under construction right now so I would park farther south to avoid that, but otherwise it was great!! They’ve done a great job with these trails - highly recommend.

Phase one is now finished, 6.2 miles one way, asphalt & concrete. Plenty of parking at both ends. Follows Arkansas River & on top of the levee with several deer crossings. Downtown section has a lot of foot traffic, benches & goes close the the new US Marshall’s Museum.

Beautiful Day

September, 2021 by sunflowerlizard

My daughter and I stayed in Rogers. Day 1 we hiked 8 miles on the Pigeon Roost Trail. Day 2 we drove to the Ozark Botanical Gardens with our bikes. After a tour of the gardens we rode our bikes around Lake Fayetteville and then headed south. We picnicked at Wilson Park and then headed back. Approximately 20 miles of biking was enough after a long day of hiking; however I can’t wait to go back and do more. I’ve ridden several trails and this one ranks up there. Beautiful and well maintained!
