Battle Creek Regional Park Trail

Great Dog Park

May, 2022 by pam.a.lindahl

This park is a great place to walk and play with your dogs unleashed! It’s huge and even has a pond where your dogs can swim. There’s a big play area as well for the dogs to hang out and play at fetch! The trails are nice as well! I highly recommend this park!

Rush Creek Regional Trail (MN)

Nice trail with so many road crossings

May, 2022 by liamcofelldwyer

Nicely maintained trail, but way too many crossings for a decent pace bike ride.

Shooting Star State Trail

Seas of Bluebells!

May, 2022 by dbetzler

Drove to Lake Louise Sate Park on Monday May 16, 2022 and rode the short section of the trail located within the park boundaries. Also rode south out of the park to the trailhead in Leroy and back to the park. The ride to Leroy and back was especially beautiful as we were surrounded on both sides by seas of blooming Virginia Bluebells. Just before getting to Leroy the trail crosses a river on a trestle bridge and from there, we saw a goose nesting on a little island below. Just before that point we encountered two wild turkeys crossing the trail. Within Lake Louise State park while riding through a grassy prairie area, we saw Turkey Vultures kettling, a Bobolink and an Indigo Bunting. Lovely time of year to be riding in this area.

Minnehaha Trail

beautiful scenery, rough path in parts

May, 2022 by 11prestonmaher

Beautiful scenery around Fort Snelling State Park and Minnehaha Falls to ride along. The path from the base of the old fort to the start of the Falls area is a bit of a rough ride with some bumps from tree routes breaking through

Shooting Star State Trail

Half good, half not so good.

Grade the trail! This review serves as a guide so that you know what condition the trail is in before you go. Here is the code:
A – Excellent condition, new or like-new.
B – Very good condition, not new, but still a great trail.
C – Fair condition, starting to see a fair amount of ruts, bumps or heaves.
D – Poor condition, lots of ruts, bumps or heaves.
F – Very poor condition, would not recommend riding this trail at all.

From Leroy to Taopi = D/F – in need of lots of repairs. From Taopi to Rose Creek = B. I have not ridden the section from Rose Creek to Nicolville, but would assume it is fairly new like the section from Taopi to Rose Creek.

Overall rating of 3 stars because of the bad section.

McKnight Road Trail

The path is paved but in need of repair. It is fine for walking and perhaps running. Watch your step. It's a little rough for biking. The trail runs along McKnight Road, as the name implies. It's not very scenic. It can be loud at times.

Willard Munger State Trail (Matthew Lourey State Trail)

Southern end

April, 2022 by tomeggum

It’s neat that our state buys trail right-of-way like this, but this end is rough with lots of ponded water this past Spring weekend. We gave up before we got to the the Million Dollar Bridge.

Minnesota River Bluffs LRT Regional Trail

Still snow and ice

March, 2022 by paul.anderaos

Today was 60 degrees, the warmest day of 2022 so far. Got out there to run. Lots of other people using the trail. Beautiful overlooks! The path into Eden Prairie from Chaska is largely unpaved. Some snow and ice still covers the ground.

Gandy Dancer Trail - Northern Section

Gandy Dancer - Easy terrain

March, 2022 by nealm68_tl

I have been up there quite a few times parking in the area just off the trail in Danbury, WI. The area just north across the bridge has a few trails that wander around in the area and in a few miles, you go through Marksville, MN. The trails and forest are full of cabins and camping/hunting shacks then the farther north you get it's mostly flat and new growth forest. While not challenging to ride, it's a nice area to go when you get a new machine. The few people I have met were really friendly and seemed to be fine with the utv's going through.

Harmony-Preston Valley State Trail

Fun but! Aug 1921

February, 2022 by rebean42

This is a fun trail to ride but is in serious need for some maintenance. It had been several years since we had done this ride and I was surprised at how much it had deteriorated. The restaurants in Harmony were non-existent but we found a Kwik Trip which served some food to go.
