Mount Berry Trail

A must do trail for runners

May, 2022 by mikelarue1

Wow! Beautiful paved trail sandwiched between Oostanaula River and Berry property. Winds around to Armuchee Connector and will soon connect up to Oostanaula Levee Trail. Great views of pastures, woodlands and the river. Great addition to Rome’s trail system. Must see!

Stone Mountain Trail

needs better signage

May, 2022 by zap26

Tried the trail in March. I started at Centennial Park and was very excited. Rode 20 miles and was only on the actual trail for about 2 miles (once I found the trail). I got to the east belt junction and couldn’t find signs. Went the wrong way and ended up back at the park. Attempted it again in May this time I thought I would start at Stone Mountain, that didn’t work either. First lack of parking lots second lack of signage. I gave up and biked around the mountain twice.

McQueen's Island Trail

still closed as of May 2022

The main section is almost done. Hopefully they open it this summer and close off only the section that still needs repairs (from the curve to Elba island).

East Decatur Greenway

Not for beginner rollerblading

May, 2022 by lolakoala22

Just a bunch of massive hills

Allatoona Pass

This trail is incredibly shady the entire way, which will be excellent on steamy summer days! This is a great place to ride your bicycle if you are just throwing a leg over to get back to exercising.

Peachtree Creek Greenway

trail was good!!!

May, 2022 by ragin.laniqua

So the trail is about a mile. So I parked and was the only vehicle in the parking lot. I walked the trail and there were very few people. You can see streams and geese and ducks and squirrels in this trail. There is some metal at work and it was a great trail to keep a steady job. Going from one end of the trail to the other is 2 miles. Not 5 stars because there are homeless people sleeping near the Creek, under the bridge.

Ocmulgee Heritage Trail

Disappointing

April, 2022 by gstarr_tl

The gate connecting the trail from Ocmulgee Mounds to the Heritage Trail was locked and a sign said "connection no longer available". Signage from parking at Central City Park was poor. Along the trail from the park we encountered major highway construction with lots of mud in 2 different places. We crossed through places where homeless people were camped. We never got to any interesting areas of Macon. In the section we did, the streets we went on were in high traffic areas with lots of commercial properties and fast food type restaurants. Based on what I had read about the trail ahead of time, we were very disappointed with what we found.

Camp Creek Greenway

Great trail

We had a fun time on the paved road with the baby in the stroller. Awesome restaurants in the area and public bathrooms!

Big Creek Greenway

Best ATL metro trail

Love this mostly flat trail not too much of a challenge for the casual rider. Weekends are super busy so be prepared. Otherwise this is my favorite trail.

Carrollton GreenBelt

Charming Town and Greenbelt

April, 2022 by thejake91739

At the break of dawn on a 40 degree morning on a quiet Sunday morning in March, my wife and I set out on the Carrollton GreenBelt loop. Seeing as how it was a bit brisk, early, and a day of worship, we pretty much had the trail to ourselves!

The trail is a delightful, smooth, curvy, picturesque, easy, fun ride. Trees, birds, cows, horses, squirrels, waterfowl, waterfalls, creeks, lakes, ponds, parks, restrooms, and bridges galore! And it's a loop to boot so you don't have to double back to your starting point!

I especially enjoyed how the trail follows the contour of the rolling hills and twisted and curved through the countryside. And although we never left the city limits, most of the time it felt like a ride through a rural setting. On our quest from California to ride our bikes in all fifty states in our lifetime, we checked off nine more on our spring road trip through the southeast (including Hall of Famers Tammany Trace in Louisiana and Longleaf Trace in Mississippi). According to my wife, this trail was the most pleasurable of the nine! This loop trail had everything going for it!

The city of Carrollton hit a home run with this trail! When looking for a trail to ride in Georgia, don't overlook the charming town of Carrollton and its A+ greenbelt loop!

Noonday Creek Trail

Great for walking/biking

April, 2022 by mhf86g65x9

We walk ride here pretty frequently, I’d love to see them link up the Marietta/Kennesaw and Woodstock sections. Being able bike from the main parking to DT Woodstock would be awesome.

Big Creek Greenway

Simply a GREAT ride…

April, 2022 by zvn5bkc7gn

Looking for a moderately challenging workout ride, THIS TRAIL IS FOR YOU!! No steep inclines or anything but fair amount of gentle elevation changes balanced by plenty of level ground if you looking for just a relaxing ride. BEAUTIFUL scenery, very well populated with individuals , couples and families both on foot and biking.
