Pittman Wash Trail

Great paved trail with nice landscape along the way. Also a very nice park (Cornerstone Park) with a pond. It also connects to a longer trail (UPRR) trail.

Nice Ride In Henderson

May, 2022 by jacmar1

We were in Henderson to get 50 miles in Nevada on our quest to bike 50 miles in every state.THis was number 45 for us and we were excited to find the Union Pacific Trail. We were staying in the Black Mountain area and could ride to the Greenway entrance from the house. The trail surface is quite smooth and there a few road crossings that are well done with devices to warn cars of your crossing.Views of the surrounding mountains can be seen the entire way to the end at Railroad Casino which is approximately 5 miles.Watch those SW winds that prevail in the spring and the low humidity for those not from the area!Little extra effort can be required! The ride back to the western end is not quite as scenic but includes a park and an urban feel.If you are lucky you might just get a glimpse of the infamous Road Runner.

Wetlands Loop Trail

Worthwhile . . .

Not so much of a "loop" as a windy one-way ride and return buy the same route but a really nice one!

Wetlands Loop Trail

Must Do in Vegas

March, 2022 by acewickwire

We have completed a number of trails, including River Mountain Loop Trail, and this one of the best. Trail surface is nice and wide, mostly smooth. The trail follows the surrounding earth surface with hills, a couple short but steep and winds through the drainages. Twists here and there. Nothing boring about this one. In the summer might consider early morning or early evening...not much for shade. Fair amount of traffic from bikes, hikers, runners, etc. Go do this one!

Grand opening today of new extension from Acacia Park west to North Pecos Road. This trail is now 12 miles or so. New section includes overpasses or underpasses at Stephanie, Valle Verde and Green Valley Pkwy avoiding major traffic crossings. Easy ride and connects to three other city parks.

The Meadows

So amazing to see the re- creation of the original Las Vegas Meadows and the streams that flow from the Mountain into the valley . Incredible engineering in feature of the grass lands and the roar of the stream . I can vividly imagine what Tula Springs was in its beginning .

Lone Mountain Trail

Our Stand alone Mountain .

November, 2021 by girraffeenterprises

Growing up here in Las Vegas in the 70s was the greatest . I hope our new Nevadans and New Battle Born can truly appreciate it . There were very few trails growing up in LV . Not just (v) . but we made our trials . I probably dirt biked or road horses all through our (New) canyons where Lone Mountain sits now . It didn’t look so Lone back then . It’s a beautiful site to see and hike . Well done Nevada . Let’s keep Going

River Mountains Loop Trail

9/14/21

September, 2021 by johnedmeyer56

Rode 6am to 8:40am Today. Sensational trail ! A few gravel pools and gravel, so be careful first time.
Parked at visitors center, rode clockwise, all up hill first 7 miles
Then mostly downhill. I went thru half gallon of water in three 22oz
Bottles. Lots of tight turns. Highly recommend especially if you like the 13 mile loop at Red Rocks.
