Traveling north-south through Wall Township is the Route 18 Bike Path. The northern terminus is the Municipal Compex, which houses the County Library, the Municipal Court and the Police HQ, as well as athletic fields for sports ranging from football, lacrosse and baseball. The path heads south until it intersects with the Edgar Felix Memorial Bikeway, south of Atlantic Ave.
There's lots of shade as most of the path is lined with trees and other vegetation. The trail is paved smooth and center striped, creating two travel lanes for non-motorized users. Access is available at any of the five road crossings, which are all marked and at-grade. You can extend the distance traveled by going out-and-back, or by continuing on the Edgar Felix Bikeway, which reaches Manasquan. The two trails make up the Walls Township Bike Path.
You can park at the Municipal Complex in the lot off Baileys Corner Road that faces the sports fields. The address is 2700 Allaire Road Wall, NJ 07719. There is parking at the Wall Township open space on Baileys Corner Road, across from Ocean Road.
Fun little trail that connects Edgar Felix Trail to Wall Township. I noticed it said “Inline skating” as an appropriate activity for this trail. I would not recommend this. Portions of the trail are extremely steep and the trail itself has many bumps from tree roots growing beneath. Probably time to repave this trail soon.
