The Lake Boren Esplanade is a wide, paved pathway sitting on the west side of Coal Creek Parkway. The esplanade begins at Lake Boren Park and then parallels the road, offering glimpses of the lake through the shoreline trees. The trail transitions into a wide sidewalk, passing apartment buildings and businesses, before concluding at Newcastle Way.
Lake Boren Park offers family friendly recreation, with picnic amenities, a playground, and sports & fishing facilities. The park also has its own trails looping through it.
Park at Lake Boren Park (13058 SE 84th Way, Newcastle).
Great trail for skateboarding. It’s mainly flat, so great for coasting. There’s a few crosswalks that you have to stop for, so be aware and cautious. You can also walk down to Lake Boren Park. Even tho it’s next to a busy street, I feel pretty safe on it.
