To reach the Laguna Lake Park trailhead, take the Euclid Street Exit from State Route 91 (the Riverside Freeway) in Fullerton. Head north on Euclid Street for about 4 miles to Lakeview Road. Turn right (east) on Lakeview Road and go 0.5 mile to Hermosa Drive. Turn right (east) on Hermosa Drive and go 0.1 mile to Lakeside Drive. The entrance to Laguna Lake Park is at this intersection, and there is parking along the street.
The GPS track now shows the Bud Turner Trail. A new crossing has been constructed below the dam to move the trail up to the old rail road grade, so the trail passes east of the parking lots. At N33.90472 W117.93854 elev 321’ a narrow single track continues along the grade converging at Laguna Rd and the wider trail goes down a short steep grade and follows the GPS track to Laguna Rd.

The GPS interactive map depicted as the Bud Turner trail here, is actually the northern part of the Juanita Cook Greenbelt. The Juanita Cook Greenbelt from Laguna Rd, (along Morelia Place on the street or sidewalk, 0.26 mile,) to Bastanchury Road is missing.
The Bud Turner Trail Head starts at the Northeast end of Laguna Lake Park and runs on the southeast side of the lake then south to Euclid and Bastanchury intersection. By Noel Keller 2 May 08
"BUD TURNER TRAIL
Trailheads for both the Bud Turner and Juanita Cooke Greenbelt trails can be found at the same GPS coordinates N33.91010 W117.93399 elev 351’ with street parking on Lakeside Dr. There is a parking lot on Clarion Dr. for the Bud Turner Trail at N33.90599 W117.93814 elev 343’ just below the Laguna Lake dam. Access from the parking lot to the lower part of this trail was to difficult for me on my Tri-Cruiser, so I did not ride it. The short trail on the east side of the lake is a nice way to extend the ride from the Juanita Cooke trail."
"I drove by the trail on Euclid and Rosecrans on Monday, 8/2, and saw a sign that the trail was temporarily closed. It looked like the trail had not been cleaned up since the heavy rains earlier this year."
"This trail apparently runs along both sides of Laguna Lake, although the part along the southeast side is better.
There is a convenient parking area on the trail just south of Clarion Drive.
South of the parking area, the trail is a little harder to follow. It runs past an equestrian staging area at the corner of Lakeview Dr. and Euclid St. Here, too, the trail apparently has two parts -- a wide smooth track near the equestrian area and a narrow, challenging single track in a wooded area to the east.
South of Laguna Road, the trail runs right next to Euclid St., so it's not very scenic. A tunnel carries the trail under Bastanchury Rd., but there is also a pedestrian crossing at grade level, presumably for use when the tunnel is flooded.
