Callegus Creek Bike Path winds along the east side of Camarillo, a bedroom community on the outskirts of Los Angeles. The paved pathway serves as a great connector between the city's north and south sides and provides safe passage under Highway 101.
Along the way, the trail passes the Village at the Park Sports Complex, Adolfo Camarillo High School, and Pitts Ranch Park. The latter offers a range of athletic facilities, including a baseball diamond, tennis courts, and soccer fields.
Parking and restrooms are available at the southern end of the trail in Pleasant Valley Fields (150 Westpark Ct.) and about a block from the trail at Pitts Ranch Park (1400 Flynn Rd.) near the trail's northern end.
I went to this trail the other day to rollerblade. After looking at pictures here I was really excited to finally have a place in TO to rollerblade I was sad to find that after maybe going half a mile there was a locked gate with what looked like construction on the other side.
'm not sure if the trail was just closed when I got there or if it's permanently closed, but it was a bummer to drive 20 minutes just to go back and forth on the part of trail available to me and zoom around the parking lots. If this is a fluke pls let me know because I want a place to rollerblade.
Really great trail for families with kids.
This is one of my favorite bike paths. The white fencing outlines this path well and the gentle slopes make it a fun ride. The surrounding mountains and hillsides are gorgeous just before sunset. Ample parking and restrooms at the southern end of the trail in Pleasant Valley Fields.
This trail is heavily used by so many people and visitors from outside the City. I give it a rating of 10/10 because of how it was built with so much engining thought. The trail runs next to Calleguas Creek from Upland all the way to the Pleasant Valley Field complex on the west side of the 101 freeway. The enterances to the path are so well posted and easy to enter with a trike. There are a lot of other cyclist with all types and class, and along side there path is filled with the usual dog walkers and runner. I love the way the path crossess the roads by building a path underneath the road, and this allows it to be very safe for everyone! The bathrooms are at the Pleasant Valley Fields and at Pitts Ranch Park and are very clean. I ride a trike and sometimes I find myself zoning out as I peddle down the path because it is so relaxing. I am sure you will too!!!!
