The Tracks at Brea Trail provides a 4-mile route across the city of Brea, which lies about 30 miles southeast of Los Angeles. The trail consists of a two-lane paved bikeway for wheeled users and a separate gravel footpath for pedestrians.
At the western end, you’ll find Arovista Park, which offers athletic facilities, play areas, and picnic tables. From the park, the trail heads north and east, passing a shopping and dining destinations, recreational facilities and residential homes.
The Tracks at Brea Trail is under the umbrella of the OC Loop, a network of 66 miles of trails and greenways around Orange County, California.
Parking and restrooms can be found at Arovista Park (500 W. Imperial Highway). There is also a trailhead featuring parking on the east side of N. Brea Boulevard.
I started at the Brea Skate Park then ride the trail all the way to the end of the track at Valencia St. I did it on a Thursday 4:00 pm and found the track beautiful and clean but hardly any bikers around most likely because it’s weekday. I will definitely try this again on a weekend. The only downside of the track is there are too many stops, no underpass to cross some major streets. In the beginning, there is a 15 to 25 steps stairway with bike channel to hold your bike alongside with you. Overall it’s an awesome track, very easy to use.
Firs time on the track today with my 1 year old and a bob stroller. Pretty comfortable, wide enough to run with the stroller + have room or other runners/walkers and bikers. Will come back. We parked in the arovista parking lot. Only slight challenge might be getting the stroller up the two flights of stairs.
Great trail for beginners! My mom hates exercising but she actually enjoyed it. There’s a mini exercise space on the trail. There’s also a beautiful mini mural towards the end of the trail. All around nice experience.
This is an awesome biking trail for beginners
