The Bull Valley Road Shared-Use Path travels along the south side of Bull Valley Road in the city of McHenry, Illinois. The paved path is suitable for non-motorized uses including walking, jogging, biking and inline skating. East of Green Street, the paved path continues parallel to the Charles Miller Memorial Highway and crosses Fox River to link up with the Moraine Hills State Park Trail.
The trail's current west endpoint is at State Route 31, but plans are underway to extend it 4300 ft to intersect with the Prairie Trail, good news for cyclists who currently have to ride on-street to close the gap. McHenry sits at the midpoint of this 26-mile rail-trail stretching from Algonquin to Genoa City on the Illinois/Wisconsin border.
There is no dedicated parking for this trail.
