This shared-use path runs east-west through the village of Carol Stream in Du Page county. Sitting on the grassy north side of Lies Road between Fair Oaks Road and Gary Avenue, the path is used as an exercise amenity by residents of all ages; from little ones still learning to balance on their bikes, to older folks just looking to stretch their legs after a long day. The trail also provides a low-stress, no-car-needed connection to destinations ranging from parks to schools to retail and restaurants. Hampke Park, the Simkus Recreation Center, Veterans Park/ Klein Creek are all accessible via trail. Students of Glenboard High can also use the trail to get to and from school. The Lies Road Trail further intersects with other trails, including a developing sidepath on Gary Avenue, the Kuhn Road Trail, and at its west end, the West Branch DuPage River Trail.
