The Lincolnwood Valley Line Trail connects the existing Valley Line Trail (Sauganash Trail) to the Skokie Valley Trail in Cook County. Like the previous segments, this trail occupies a former Union Pacific railroad right-of-way. There are a couple of road crossings, but a pedestrian overpass is under construction over Touhy Avenue.
With the construction of the Lincolnville Valley Line Trail, the Skokie Valley to Sauganash corridor provides 4.5-mile unbroken bike-ped corridor.
Parking is available at the Henry A. Proesel Park located at 7030 N. Lincoln Ave.
Best bike trail!
Loved cycling this trail have rode from Bryn Mawr to Dempster in Skokie and had a blast doing.this.
Walked the trail from Bryn Mawr to Touhy and had a excellent time. very happy to see the Touhy overpass being built and the call boxes that can summon medical help if needed are excellent to have if a person does not have a cell phone to call 911 once my bicycle is repaired I will be riding this trail from Bryn Mawr to Dempster.
Excellent trail to walk on, once I get my bicycle repaired I will be riding this trail Great idea to have the callboxes that way if someone needs medical help they can be taken care of.
