The Union Pacific Recreation Path offers a short route through the Village of Lincolnwood's east side between Devon and Touhy avenues. Following the former Union Pacific Railroad, the rail-trail offers a paved pathway with a 2-foot gravel shoulder on each side. While the northern end of the trail is in a busy commercial area, as you head south, the trail gets quieter and residential.
The south end of the trail is just east of another rail-trail, the Valley Line Trail, which begins on Devon Avenue and heads south for a mile.
The Union Pacific Trailhead Parking Lot is located behind Lincolnwood's Public Works Department building at Lunt and Morse avenues.
Had an.awesome time cycling.this trail from Devon to Touhy .love the call boxes and the flowers by the trail adds a nice touch to the trail.
Not the most scenic trail, but it’s pleasantly quiet and good for short morning or evening rides. The surface is new and in excellent condition.
