The East Hillcrest Trail is a short suburban trail located in the community of Indianola. Running along the avenue of the same name, the trail provides several important local connections, linking the sidepath along Jefferson Way and the Summerset Trail, and also providing a convenient off-road path to the local YMCA. The Summerset Trail allows cyclists and pedestrians to continue their journey all the way to Carlisle, or trail users can take it or the Jefferson Way sidepath into downtown Indianola.
Parking is available at nearby businesses, or trail users can park at the Summerset Trail trailhead in downtown Indianola (501 N 5th Street), and follow the trail north to reach the start of the East Hillcrest Trail.
Nice and wide. Good connection between Summerset Trail and good biking around YMCA.
