The Lions Park Trail provides a charming path alongside a little creek in the suburb of Grimes, IA, far to the northwest on the outskirts of the Des Moines area. This short trail provides a perfect means for walkers and cyclists to get around the outskirts of the small community, providing access for the various neighborhoods along the route to shops and businesses on the southern end, as well as to Lions Park. The local park hosts a playground with a variety of equipment, as well as athletic fields and a picnic area, making this a great spot for families to get outdoors for some fun and recreation. The trail also connects to the Beaverbrooke Park Trail on its northern end, which can take you through the rapidly-developing northern side of town or southwest through more parks and neighborhoods, allowing you to experience the breadth of the town on safe and pleasant paved paths.
Parking is available at Lions Park, at the intersection of NE 5th Street and NE Little Beaver Street.
