The Long Meadow Trail is a quaint path in suburban Johnston, IA, popular with joggers and walkers from the various neighborhoods it runs through. The paved trail provides an important off-road connection to a local elementary school and middle school on one end, and on the opposite eastern end of the trail, a block north and east the entrance to the Green Meadows West Trail allows trail users to extend their trip, either for recreation or as a means of accessing shops and restaurants in Johnston without the need to drive.
Parking is available at Horizon Elementary School or Summit Middle School; be sure to follow any posted parking signs.
