This trail runs parallel to Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale. The trail consists of several disconnected segments on both sides of the road. The western end has a much more suburban feel than the eastern end, which is more rural. This trail provides a useful transportation and recreation corridor for the surrounding communities.
There are no official parking areas for the Shea Boulevard Trail, but parking can be found along local neighborhood streets. Be sure to obey any posted parking restrictions.
The path is along Shea Blvd. There are several road crossings at lights. Not much of a scenery. On the East end of the trail, the mountains are beautiful. The grade is uphill going East. Going west was an easy ride. It was good to ride the path once. I am not sure that I will do this path again.
Hi I have ridden Shea out to fountain hills and rode the whole section on Shea blvd. does anyone know if this trail is a way to not ride in the street as Shea has fast moving traffic and seems somewhat dangerous to ride on?
