Courthouse Loop Trail Description

The Courthouse Loop Trail is one of several trails located in the Carver County city of Chaska. As the name suggests, the trail forms a loop around Courthouse Lake, which sits directly behind the Carver County Courthouse and other administrative buildings. A short spur off the trail near the north parking lot leads to a pier, so be sure to bring your fishing gear.

Parking and Trail Access

There are two large parking lots for the county courthouse, lake and trail. Entrances to the lots can be found off either Beech Street or 2nd Street.

Great trails throughout Chaska

The Courthouse Loop is just a small sampling of the trails available in and around the City of Chaska. The elevational changes due to Chaska's location along the Minnesota River Valley bluffs makes for a good workout, if you are interested. Check out the Scenic Levy Trail along the Minnesota River, as well as the Ravine Trail that runs up the hill, passing under MN State Highway 41 just to the south of the intersection with Hwy 212. Use the SouthWest Transit Park and Ride ramp as a trail head parking area, and visit the town!
