Point Douglas Regional Trail Description

Opened in the summer of 2017, the Point Douglas Regional Trail offers a picturesque link along the Mississippi River between Prescott, WI, and Hastings, MN, on a former railroad called the Peanut Line.

At either end of the pathway is a bridge crossing. To the west, the trail heads over the Mississippi, providing safe passage across Highway 61. On the trail's east end, it crosses the St. Croix River and heads into downtown Prescott.

Although currently only 2.5 miles long, the trail will one day expand to offer a connection to Washington County’s St. Croix Valley Trail in Minnesota, as well as trails in Dakota County.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking and restrooms are available in Point Douglas Park (10191 St. Croix Trail S. Hastings, MN).
