Minnetonka, a suburb of Minneapolis, boasts over 90 miles of bike-ped trails and counting. The trails range from regional trails such as the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail to smaller local connectors like this one, the Stone Road Trail, so called as it sits on the side of Stone Road. This trail connects the neighborhoods west of I-494 to the 110-acre multipurpose Meadow Park on the east side of the highway. For most of its length it also parallels a BNSF railway, though the a fence and bushy vegetation serve to separate trail users from the tracks. The Stone Road Trail is perpendicular to the multi-use trail along I-494. Dogs are allowed but they must be leashed and there are pet waste stations provided.
