Stretching a mile across Blair’s northwest side, the Deerfield Lions Trail is so named because it connects the Deerfield subdivision (and Deerfield Elementary School) at one end and Lions Club Park at the other. The park offers a picnic shelter and grill, a playground, and drinking water.
The Blair Lions Club contributes to the park’s features and is working on restoring an 1880 train depot—a relic of the former Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis, and Omaha Railway—that's located within the park.
The paved trail parallels Nebraska Highway 75 and was constructed in 2005. Its southern half is buffered by trees, while the northern half is more open. Future plans include a link to the Dana Trail (yet to be constructed) that will head west about a mile to Dana College.
Parking is available at the southern end of the trail in Lions Club Park (at 16th and Park streets).
