Running through a quiet neighborhood in the western reaches of Omaha, the Huntington Park Trailway (also known more simply as the Huntington Trail) offers a nice concrete path, ideal for residents looking for a walking or jogging route. The trail leads from shops and restaurants along 156th Street to the small neighborhood recreation site at Huntington Park, which offers a playground and tennis court. The West Papio Trail runs through the park, a crucial component in the area's trail network that allows trail users to travel all the way into Bellevue; the Huntington Park Trailway thus allows nearby residents access to this larger trail and also connects those traveling the West Papio with nearby eateries - a welcome amenity after a day out on the trail.
No dedicated parking is available for this trail, but parking may be available on-street or at nearby businesses; be sure to follow any posted parking signs and regulations. Parking is available off the West Papio trail in Bridlewood Park, just a bit farther north from Huntington Park, located on N 163rd Street.
It's a nice asphalt trail. Half of it runs through a nice quiet neighborhood and the other half runs through a quiet, shady park. It's one long, but gradual hill. The trail connects to the West Papio Trail.
Easy to walk and parks for kids along the way.
