This trail provides a safe place to walk, roll or jog within the Elkhorn neighborhood on the west side of Omaha. The concrete path sits in the Piney Creek greenbelt, which also the site of a small park with a playground and basketball court. The trail is nestled between landscaped green space on one side and the creek's riparian buffer on the other. It's nearly a mile long, extending from Piney Creek Drive down to Blondo Parkway. This is an easy trail, accessible to young and old alike.
Parking can be found on the cul-de-sac at the east end of Wirt Street.
Smooth asphalt. It would be good for roller blading.
